My name is Nick Jones. I live in Stockholm and I'm thirty years old. I worked in a small public library in the suburban area of Alby from early February in the year 2000 until December of 2004.
I've written extensively about my experiences as a librarian in Alby. An area that is generally described, in a stereotyped way, as being one of these major city multi-ethnic and dysfunctional suburban areas.
To me, though, it became a community where I learnt a lot, saw a lot, experienced a lot and where I also had a lot of fun.
I've recently begun working a new job, at a new library, in the neighbouring area of Vårby. That has much the same reputation as has Alby. And I'm now eager to see what the feature holds in store for me in here.
