Arne Svingen (37) is a writer, born, bred and resident in Oslo. He has written more than 20 books, mostly for children and young people, but also novels for adults. He has written plays for radio, a travel book about Iran, film manuscripts and song lyrics.
At present he is editor of the periodical Forfatteren and regularly takes part in public literary debates. He speaks Russian, is hopelessly interested in music and for the past 15 years has been wondering whether or not he should buy a car.
